For historical reasons, initially the business was mainly focused to diagnostic and laboratory supplies, but step by step the product portfolio has expanded with the target to offer adequate solutions for all aspects of routine diagnostics, hospital and medical equipment, surgical supplies and all pharmaceutical drugs, both generic and patented. At the same time we are always looking for new technologies and products in order to make specific and enhanced healthcare supplies accessible whenever and wherever needed.

As a supplier according to the standards of IVD and medical devices directive 98/79/CE, we supply equipment and reagents for use with a variety of popular hospital equipment, clinical chemistry, hematology and coagulation analyzer systems, as well as urine test strips and rapid tests to a number of customers in the country, and the East African region. By using iMED Healthcare sourced products, our customers can achieve considerable cost saving effects without any compromise in respect to product quality, performance and reliability.

A young seedling with strong roots

Based on 3 years of experience in hospital equipment and laboratory diagnostics, iMED Healthcare was founded in October 2004 with the target to offer products of highest quality, as well as qualified technical and application support to users of hospitals, clinical and laboratory systems mainly in Kenya, and generally in the region.

In order to increase efficiency of customer support, and to be as close as possible to the existing customer base, local operations will be established in Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Southern Sudan in the coming years.

Today iMED Healthcare is a team of more than three Biomedical engineers and four sales executives engaged and motivated in providing qualified assistance to healthcare specialists, not only in Nairobi, but already has more than 20 clients all over the country, and the region. iMED Healthcare retains in its human resource portfolio, a comprehensive and professional logistics and shipping capacity to guarantee optimal response to sourcing and supply challenges.
